Wilma Stamm'ler was born in Holland where she studied music, pottery and interior design.
She moved to Canada in 1984, having previously resided in Tanzania, Kenya, Swaziland, Nigeria and Indonesia. The following year Wilma began studying watercolour at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario.
Her diverse lifestyle and extensive travel to over fifty countries, have played a major role in her artistic development and one can see these influences in her work.
Her art portrays a wide variety of subjects and is easily recognized from the distinctive use of vivid colours and strong design.
Wilma's paintings have won numerous awards in juried art exhibitions and she has been an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Colour and Form Society. Wilma's paintings are featured in "The Birthday Reminder" and have been sold world-wide.
